FSJ Hospital Foundation’s Annual “Have a Heart” Radiothon
The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation is dedicated to working with the community to raise and manage funds to enhance patient care and comfort at the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care Facility.
The Hospital Foundation joined the Move FM 98.5FM crew for its Annual “Have a Heart” Radiothon fundraising event held on June 17, 2021 at the Home Hardware. The event was broadcasted live on location from 8am to 6pm where residents and businesses called in or dropped by to support the campaign.
The $35,000 goal this year was surpassed, raising a total of $51,833! PETRONAS Canada and Apex Dental, associated with Accent Dental, matched the donations up to $10,000 each. Home Hardware not only provided the venue for the event, but also raised an additional $6,765 through till donations, raffles, and also matched 6 local business donations that came in that day! The proceeds go towards meeting the gap to purchase specialized Obstetric Probes for the new Portable Ultrasound Machine at the Birthing Centre and Pre-Natal Clinic at the FSJ Hospital.
