Peace River North Festival of the Arts 2021

The Peace River North Festival of the Arts is a not-for-profit organization based in Fort St. John founded in the 1980s. It supports young and adult performers in dance, voice, piano, choir, band, strings and instruments. The organization hosts its annual festival in Fort St. John, where performers from BC and Alberta attend.

Like many organizations, 2021’s event happened virtually last April 10-18, 2021. Over 600 individual and group participants 6 to 18 years of age recorded their performances and were played using the Zoom platform. Families and friends were able to enjoy the performances from the comfort of their homes!

Six local and guest adjudicators offered encouragement and advice on how the artists can improve their skills and craft. Awards were given as well, wherein prizes were sponsored by families and businesses in Fort St. John. Representatives were chosen to represent the Peace River North to the BC Performing Arts Provincials.
